At Dentistry at Lifestyles, we are equipped with the technology we need to provide our Midland patients with dental care including dental lasers, digital X-rays and intraoral scanners.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Dentistry at Lifestyles, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments more efficient.
Because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we are able to show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through the recommended treatment plan.
We work to provide our patients with dental care and make sure that they are fully informed about their oral health. The range of dental technology at our location helps us to do that.
Woodpecker Guided Biofilm Therapy
Guided biofilm therapy (GBT) is a dental hygiene technique using technology that aims to provide you with a more comfortable and effective dental cleaning.
GBT targets and removes this biofilm (the main cause of gum disease) with a gentle combination of air, warm water, and a natural powder. To ensure a thorough cleaning, we use a disclosing agent to highlight the biofilm before removing it with the Woodpecker handpiece.
Cone Beam Cat Scan
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a special type of X-ray machine that generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan. Images obtained with CBCT allow for more precise treatment planning, including analyzing your airway for snoring and sleep apnea treatment.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film to capture images. This technology produces highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions. Digital X-rays allow your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Soft Tissue Lasers
In dentistry, lasers (extremely focused light beams) can be used in a variety of procedures involving the soft tissues of the mouth such as gums. At Dentistry at Lifestyles our team of dental professionals uses this technology to treat periodontal disease, address other gum issues, and to provide treatment for oral ulcers and cold sores.
iTero 3D Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner takes highly accurate, 3D impressions of your teeth and bite. iTero allows your dentist to plan your dental treatment in real time, store data digitally, and create Invisalign customized clear aligners to straighten your smile.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are especially helpful when planning treatments such as extractions and implants.
